Get off your high horse guy apologized, and attempted to make amends. Honestly it's up to the person he insulted to give legitimate forgiveness not anyone else. I didn't vote for him, but punishment and apology fit the crime. You'd have to have been born yesterday to believe that apology.
There is NOTHING he could have said or done, short of severing his own left hand in penance, that would have satisfied you.
